Two more prints completed

Shelter Dog and Sup Dog, limited edition prints are completed. Next up “Leader of the Pack”  The shirts are still at the printer, but we got the “Wet Dog” logo printed on them.  Now all we need is the art on the back.

Smoking Pirate

Just finished a pirate smoking a cigar for a Gasparilla (annual pirate fest ) crew in Tampa Bay, Fl.  I painted this on the ipad using the Brushes app.  Comments and likes are appreciated.

Tweaking the art

I thought I was finished with this design then I started to tweak the art in Photoshop and added some text so the it didn’t look so square.  So let me know what you think.

I went to the printer the other day and got some quotes on silkscreen printing and it looks like they will work with me on making these actually happen.   I plan on finishing the http://www.kickstarter. com video (will post it when finished) this week then will post the invite to join in on the campaign for pledging to make this a reality.  Comment please I want to hear folks critique.

Sup dog, I’m finished with you.

Whew, after 8 hours of sketching, drawing, cutting, and pulling three proofs i finished the SUP design (stand up paddle board).  The water gave me quite a challenge on this one, but I think perseverance and knowing that the out come will somehow be good all helped me nail it.   It evolved quite a bit from what I was thinking in my head when I first came up with the sketches.  Comments and likes are definitely appreciated on this one.

Paddle Tease

Wow the hectic holiday’s are over now and it’s back to producing more art. Still having fun with the Ipad and brushes app, but here is the next block print project I’m working on of a paddle boarder or SUP (Stand Up Paddler).  I pulled the first proof today and here is a section of it to tease you some.  I should finish the cutting and printing in the next few day’s on the 8″ x 10 “block.  Comments and likes appreciated as always.

Final Logo for Wet Dog?

Ok, still tweaking the Wet Dog logo and decided to take out the words and replace it with a symmetrical paddle.  What do you think of this now.  Could this be the logo that goes on the shirts?  Comments are welcome.

Can’t wait to get some shirts printed up soon.  Working on a Standup Paddle Board design this week.  The sketch is done just need to cut it out on the lino block and make a print.

Can you see this on the back or front of every shirt?

Het there, just touching base with you and the blog and wanted to show the logo for Wet Dog I’m working on.  I don’t know why it’s been so tough to come up with a cool logo for these shirts… perhaps cause I’m a better illustrator then designer?  Not sure, but here is one I’m thinking could be getting close to the final idea or design.  It was done using lino cut just like the t-shirt designs.  I have this vision for Wet Dog  there’s a shop, with apparel, maybe gear, Wet Dog annual Paddle Race, Wet Dog art, a wall were everyone can come in and doodle their art on, or help come up with a new shirt design, block printing classes,  some reggae or drumming going on in the background  Picture Myles hanging out with his drum and Capt. Barney playing at the opening (local friends)…. wait a minute  that just gave me a new idea for a design.  He, he, I guess I’m crazy like that.  My random ideas sometimes drive my wife crazy.

Thinking that the first one may read Wet Wear Dog, so I’m experimenting with it by taking out the wear and replacing with a paddle with a smaller wear.  What do you think?
